LOVEBUG is a design studio created by Sarah Coote, devoted to the craft of celebration and detail.

Our Story

Raised outside Philadelphia in a family of creatives and shaped by summers in the South of France, Sarah developed an early love for making things. Just as foundational were the quieter inheritances: a grandmother who taught her to wrap gifts with intention, another who taught her to hand sew and decorate Christmas cakes, afternoons spent arranging dollhouses, beading tiny bags, and finding magic in the pretty, the shiny, and the small.

LOVEBUG came into full focus during maternity leave after the birth of her daughter, when she chose to distill her practice into a more intimate and personal offering. The studio brings fine art into daily life, translating painting into objects meant for the table and celebration. The name LOVEBUG is a playful nod to her family name and a reclamation of the childhood tease “cooties,” transformed into something tender. At its heart, LOVEBUG embraces the expressive, the feminine, and the joyfully detailed, creating pieces meant to be kept, shared, and remembered.
